Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

As Uncharted 4: A Thief's End's title suggests, the game will indeed be the "final chapter" of Nathan Drake's story.
Drake, who has been the protagonist of every Uncharted game to date, will not be back according to Uncharted 4 lead designer Kurt Margenau who toldGameSpot "[Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley], our directors, they have a vision [for the game]. We are fulfilling that vision and it's going to be awesome. It's Nathan Drake's final chapter, so I think fans are going to be happy."
Druckmann also spoke to GameSpot, commenting "The first three games were the set-up, and if we were to do one more, how would we top it all off? How would we bring Nathan Drake's journey to a close? Everything we're doing [with Uncharted 4] is constructed towards that; Bringing closure to a very long journey."
Considering the probability that there will be a new protagonist after Uncharted 4, it now makes sense that Sony named the forthcoming Unchartedbundle of the first three games 'the Nathan Drake Collection'.
Uncharted is a jewel in Sony's first-party crown, with the series selling 21 million copies to date and it's unlikely the series will simply finish after A Thief's End.
It's possible future Uncharteds could place players in the shoes of a younger Sully, have them play as Nathan's brother Sam, or introduce a new character altogether.
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is set for release on October 7th, while Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will launch in Spring 2016.

Recore

Halo 5

he newly-christened Halo 5: Guardians is coming to Xbox One in fall 2015, giving dev 343 Industries time to ensure it has "the scope, features, and scale we've been dreaming of for more than a decade." Those are the words of GM Bonnie Ross who, ahead of a one-and-a-half years wait, underlined the efforts going into ensuring the Chief's Xbox One adventure fits the bill in 60 frames per second, and with dedicated servers for multiplayer.

"Halo 5: Guardians is a bigger effort than Halo 4," Ross wrote on Xbox Wire. "That applies to the content and scope of the game, as well as the technology in what's now a brand new and more powerful engine. Certainly there are some core elements carried over from prior games, but we've invested a huge effort in retooling our tech to take full advantage of the Xbox One's hardware and ecosystem to create worlds and experiences worthy of next-gen."

Ross also revealed the live-action TV series attached to Steven Spielberg will begin airing in fall 2015 too. According to Ross, the TV show will work both as a stand alone series and as a property that complements the "game experience."

At last year's E3, Ross said, "In 2014, Halo combat will truly evolve, and your journey with Halo on Xbox One begins." Today the general manager reiterated that journey "definitely begins in 2014 with a giant leap, rather than one small step," even if that giant leap isn't Halo 5: Guardians. Earlier this year, Master Chief actor Steve Downes appeared to let slip of an anniversary edition of Halo 2, though he later distanced himself from what was quoted.

We won't have to wait long to find out what the giant leap is, because 343 Industries plans to reveal more on its Halo plans for 2014 at Microsoft's E3 conference next month.

Any time you transition to a new platform, there is the opportunity to look at things with a new perspective. For us at 343 Industries, the launch of the Xbox One was an opportunity to think about what stories we wanted to tell, how to tell them, and how best to push the “Halo” franchise to showcase the platform. And, most importantly, combining our passion for “Halo” with the vocal and informative input from our fans.

“Halo” isn’t simply a perennial game franchise, it’s a part of the Xbox platform itself. In terms of innovation and ideation, it’s sometimes important to people who might not even play “Halo.” And of course it’s a passion and an essential experience for two generations of gamers. So we asked ourselves, how do we begin and where do we go with “Halo” on Xbox One?

In the past, “Halo” games have pushed the Xbox forward, showcasing the console and its ecosystem in entertaining and innovative ways. Making a “Halo” game that runs at 60 frames per second, on dedicated servers, with the scope, features and scale we’ve been dreaming of for more than a decade, is non-trivial. It’s a task that we, at 343 Industries, are taking very seriously to ensure we deliver the “Halo” game that fans deserve, and a game that is built from the ground up for Xbox One.

I’m happy to reveal that “Halo 5: Guardians,” the next installment in the legendary saga of the Master Chief, will launch on Xbox One in fall of 2015. In the tradition of every “Halo” game since its debut in 2001, it is a massive and exciting project.

“Halo 5: Guardians” is a bigger effort than “Halo 4.” That applies to the content and scope of the game, as well as the technology in what’s now a brand new and more powerful engine. Certainly there are some core elements carried over from prior games, but we’ve invested a huge effort in retooling our tech to take full advantage of the Xbox One’s hardware and ecosystem to create worlds and experiences worthy of next-gen.

It’s a game that will hopefully demonstrate the talent, learnings and abilities of the 343 Industries team. A game that will incorporate the things we learned from “Halo 4” about technology, aesthetics, performance and scale – and perhaps more importantly, understanding and embracing a community of gamers who love what lies at the heart of this game, and the limitless potential of the “Halo” universe.

And 2015 won’t simply be the year of “Halo 5: Guardians,” it will also be a year that offers us a unique opportunity. The opportunity to invite old friends and new audiences into that universe through the “Halo” television series, launched as a unique collaboration with Steven Spielberg and some of the finest creative minds in the business. A series that will stand alone, as well as complement and enrich the game experience. We’ll have more to share on the “Halo” television series as we near its projected fall 2015 release.

Your Journey Begins in 2014

Many fans noted that I was very deliberate with my phrasing on stage at E3 last year. I spoke about a “journey,” rather than a destination – and that journey definitely begins in 2014 with a giant leap, rather than one small step. We’ll give you much more information about our plans for this year at the Xbox E3 2014 Media Briefing on June 9, and we’re confident that “Halo” fans will be pretty excited about the special plans we have in store.

So until E3, I’d like to express my gratitude to our massive and varied Halo community, whose energy, enthusiasm, criticism and kindness are the driving force behind what we do and what we hope to achieve in “Halo 5: Guardians.”

Halo 5: Guardians Announced For 2015
http://kotaku.com/halo-5-guardians-a...015-1576282395

Today Microsoft and 343 announced the next installment in the Halo universe. It's called Halo 5: Guardians, it's all about Master Chief's journey in moving on from the events of Halo 4, and it'll be out in the fall of 2015 on Xbox One.

"Halo 5: Guardians is a bigger effort than Halo 4," 343 general manager Bonnie Ross wrote on the Xbox Wire today. "That applies to the content and scope of the game, as well as the technology in what's now a brand new and more powerful engine. Certainly there are some core elements carried over from prior games, but we've invested a huge effort in retooling our tech to take full advantage of the Xbox One's hardware and ecosystem to create worlds and experiences worthy of next-gen."P

Ross didn't offer too many specifics about the game, though she noted that the next big Halo will have dedicated servers and run at 60 frames per second. The Steven Spielberg-helmed Halo television series will also be out in fall of 2015, according to Ross.

So what about this year?

"Many fans noted that I was very deliberate with my phrasing on stage at E3 last year," Ross wrote. "I spoke about a 'journey,' rather than a destination – and that journey definitely begins in 2014 with a giant leap, rather than one small step. We'll give you much more information about our plans for this year at the Xbox E3 2014 Media Briefing on June 9, and we're confident that Halo fans will be pretty excited the special plans we have in store."

During a presentation in Los Angeles this week, the 343 team told a group of journalists that Halo 5 will be running on a brand new engine. They mentioned a few times that Halo has always been a huge element of the Xbox platform, and that they're aiming to "move the needle on the Xbox ecosystem."

They weren't willing to divulge much more just yet—save for flashing a sunny image of Master Chief holding an assault rifle mirror-imaged underneath what looked like a female spartan holding a battle rifle set against a desert-looking backdrop—but we should have at least a few more details you'll be interested in soon. E3 is just around the corner, after all.

Dark Souls 3

-The game is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2016. PC is also listed, but is accompanied by the word “negotiable.”

-The game will support “1-4 players,” meaning it’s possible you can summon more than one friend or there might be a player-versus-player element.

-10 playable classes, all available from the beginning of the game.

-45 new enemies, 15 new bosses. Characters and monsters from previous games are not included in that count.

-100 new weapons and 40 new armor sets with returning equipment not counted in that number.

-60 minutes of cutscenes, mostly in engine, rather than pre-rendered.

-There will be around 12 areas in the game.

-Will change the way you interact with players online. You’ll now participate in “Sacrifice Ceremonies.” You can drag bodies around, choose where to sacrifice them, perform the ritual, and visit another player’s game. Doing this makes you a target for other players. These will also change your game, such as a sacrifice creating a bonfire at the location you choose to sacrifice the body.

-Light sources and enemy layouts have been changed.

-Boss battles have a new “Heat Up” factor that “completely change” boss battles based on undescribed factors.
The game will add “Sword Fighting Arts,” which including “Rush In” and “Circle.” The former is a sacrifice attack that allows you to dive into an opponent and take damage while delivering a huge hit, while the latter sounds like a dodge move.
